On the first day of summer, Jack poses by the pool in a pair of sunglasses that had belonged to his Chihuahua brother Kaya. Many years previous, Kaya went with Josh and I distance cycling, mountain-biking and roller-blading. When he began to develop eye problems, I found these infant sunglasses at a five-and-dime at the beach and they fit him perfectly. This was long before doggles became available. Jack's face is considerably smaller so they are just perched on his nose. Below is a photo of me skating with Kaya in the backpack. Kaya was a biggie Chihuahua and he was tough. He only rode when we were going too fast for him to keep up.
